Experience

Since 2004 I have been broadening my professional skills, knowledge and experience of working within the healthcare industry. I have worked alongside qualified physiotherapists and general practitioners as a fitness instructor.  I conducted patient assessments, functional screening and testing to design safe and effective rehabilitation programmes. These patients were referred to me by a network of allied health professionals via the National Health Service and Government initiatives.

Education

Driven by a passion to understand the many reasons for manifestation of dis(ease) or injury, and my desire to further my career as a health care professional, I undertook a Bachelor of Science Degree in Acupuncture.

I graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (the largest and most highly regarded acupuncture college in Europe). Here my study combined the Five Elements, Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Chinese Medical Theory with Western Science (pathology, physiology and anatomy).

Accreditation

I am a qualified practitioner and a regulated professional, bound by the BAcC Code of Professional Conduct and Safe Practice. As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, I keep up to date with current research and new technique with a commitment to my own continued professional development. The BAcC is the leading self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture in the UK.

After three or four sessions the movement was much improved and my shoulder was free from pain for the first time in twenty years. I can now even cut kindling which was nigh on impossible before my treatment with Sue
